The county's 2025 report recorded more than 1,100 booking and release movements, while the average daily population was 59. Arrests rose 1.7 percent as reportable crime fell 5.2 percent. Those figures count unlike events. They do not mean each arrest became a conviction, and they do not measure one person's record.
Arrests vs Convictions
An arrest proves that an officer took a person into custody or initiated qualifying process. It does not prove the charge was true. A conviction requires a guilty plea or adjudication in court.
